In the summer of 2016, always on the lookout for an alternative in a world overflowing with sodas and sugary drinks, Kate was offered a kombucha at a restaurant in Cape Town. It was love at first taste! Her life-long culinary passion paired with a keen interest in living a natural and healthy lifestyle, left her wanting to find out more.
All roads led to Portland, Oregon, the home of Kombucha brewing. After extensive research and meetings with a number of leading Kombucha brewers, Kate, encouraged by their enthusiasm and the growing market popularity, decided to start brewing her own in the Channel Islands.
The next year was spent developing and perfecting the taste profile and production method. By now a self-confessed kombucha addict, Kate wanted to brew a great tasting, authentic, all-natural, low sugar version. In 2018, KTea was launched with 3 different flavours.
